## About

175° East is a collection of three off-grid holiday homes at Medlands Beach on Aotea Great Barrier Island, New Zealand. The island is reached from Auckland by Barrier Air in about 35 minutes or by SeaLink vehicle ferry in roughly 4.5 hours.

The properties are solar-powered with battery backup and generator, Starlink WiFi, rainwater collection, and sit across 14 acres of native bush. All three houses can be booked separately or together for groups of up to 25.

Aotea Great Barrier Island has no mains electricity grid. Residents and businesses generate their own power, and supplies come through local general stores. The island is an International Dark Sky Sanctuary with beaches, native forest, fishing and diving.
